(PRESS RELEASE) ATLANTA, 2025-May-20 — /Travel PR News/ — In celebration of the 2025 Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Star Game at Truist Park on July 15, Zoo Atlanta is teaming up with the Atlanta Braves for an exciting new initiative. Together, they are launching a special series of Animal All-Star Cards, each celebrating a standout animal from the Zoo.

As fans flock to Atlanta for the MLB All-Star Game and MLB All-Star Week, the Braves have partnered with iconic local landmarks, including Zoo Atlanta, to create custom baseball cards that spotlight their unique “All-Stars.” The series will debut with the first of eight Animal All-Star Cards, featuring Hondo the African lion, and will run until July 13.

Starting May 24, Zoo Atlanta will unveil a new card every week. The Hondo card, marking the debut of the series, will be available for collection this weekend—May 24 and 25—at Zoo Atlanta Admissions, while supplies last. This special card celebrates the recent opening of the Zoo’s new lion complex. To collect the card, simply purchase a general admission ticket to the Zoo or present your Zoo Atlanta Membership card.

Each Monday on Zoo Atlanta’s Facebook and Instagram, the Zoo will announce which of Hondo’s seven fellow Animal All-Stars—featuring a bird, two reptiles, and five mammals—will be the next collectible card to be released.

Please note: Supplies are limited, and Animal All-Star Cards will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Zoo Atlanta extends its gratitude to the Atlanta Braves for this exciting collaboration, uniting two beloved Atlanta institutions.
