Iconic ballrooms and the central garden courtyard—with the restored Naiad Queen Fountain—have also been revitalized. Complementary enhancements across the property feature new dining venues, renovated beachfront cottages, expanded event and wellness facilities, and a restored Ice House Museum. The extensive project preserved the hotel’s status as a National Historic Landmark, created over 300 resort jobs, and reinforced Hotel del Coronado’s reputation as a leading luxury destination.

The restoration transformed every facet of the Victorian Wing, including:

  • Grand Public Spaces: Meticulous refurbishment of the front porch, main lobby, and arrival drive.
  • Guestrooms & Suites: All rooms now feature brighter floral fabrics, woven vinyl-raffia headboards, checkerboard marble baths, and curated artwork that melds Victorian motifs with contemporary design.
  • Dining Destinations: Introduction of Nobu Del Coronado—offering Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s signature fusion dishes and a 3,700 sq ft oceanfront dining terrace—and Veranda, an al fresco restaurant paying homage to the original 1,800-ft wraparound veranda with locally sourced California cuisine.
  • Event Venues: Complete refresh of the Crown Room, Coronet Room, and Ocean Ballroom, including restored 1888 frescoes, original wood floors, historical wainscoting, and upgraded A/V systems.
