21st annual festival in Lincoln Park/Montrose Harbor on May 4 will provide free kite kits to build and decorate along with family activities
Chicago , IL, 2019-Mar-08 — /Travel PR News/ — A favorite family event and a harbinger of springtime in Chicago, the 21st Annual Chicago Kids and Kites Festival returns to Cricket Hill at Montrose Harbor (Montrose and Wilson) on Saturday, May 4, from 10am to 4pm. Admission is FREE.
The City of Chicago will provide free kite kits, while supplies last, for children to get creative as they build, decorate and fly their own kites.
The Windjammers Professional Kite Team will once again be on hand to thrill the crowd with their synchronized kite flying maneuvers throughout the day, and festival goers can enjoy activities such as face painting, balloon artists, circus arts presented by CircEsteem and crafts. Chicago Kitewill also be onsite for kite buyers.
The 21st Annual Chicago Kids and Kites Festival is presented by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events and sponsored in part by The Boeing Company and the Chicago Tribune.
