Mumbai, 2013-04-29 — /travelprnews.com/ — The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) added two more accolades to their name at the Travel + Leisure India & South Asia, India’s Best Awards last night held in Mumbai. The destination was awarded two awards under the ‘Best Country’ and ‘Best Wedding Destination’ category. Thai Airways International also won the ‘Best Airline’ award.
“It’s a very prestigious award, and we are so proud to have won the awards in two different categories. We have been working towards promoting Thailand as a preferred choice of tourist destination, and awards such as these help us believe we have achieved what we had set out for,” said Mr. Sethaphan Buddhani, Director, TAT Mumbai, who received the award.
Travel+ Leisure is a globally renowned travel lifestyle magazine and Travel + Leisure India’s Best Awards are determined by their readers worldwide who rate the best destination, hotel, airline and companies that represent the very best in travel. “This is more special for us because the T+L Awards are readers’ choice awards. We are happy to know that Indian travellers see Thailand as the best tourist destination,” added an elated Mr. Buddhani.
