(NYSE: LUV) announced today that the Company flew 7.3 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs) in January 2013, a 1.7 percent decrease from the 7.4 billion RPMs flown in January 2012. Available seat miles (ASMs) increased 0.5 percent to 10.0 billion from the January 2012 level of 9.9 billion. The January 2013 load factor was 72.7 percent, compared to 74.3 percent in January 2012. For January 2013, passenger revenue per ASM (PRASM) is estimated to have increased approximately two percent compared to January 2012.
