Southwest Airlines Expands Flight Offerings with New International Routes and Enhanced Service for 2025

(IN SHORT) Southwest Airlines has extended its flight schedule through April 7, 2025, introducing new international routes, including flights from Nashville to Cabo San Lucas and Punta Cana, and from Sacramento to Puerto Vallarta. The airline is also adding new nonstop routes between various U.S. cities and increasing flights to support major events, including football games and a Las Vegas rodeo. Additionally, Southwest is expanding its redeye service with new overnight flights from Denver, San Diego, and Sacramento. All these flights are now available for booking on the Southwest website.

(PRESS RELEASE) Dallas, TX, 2024-Aug-23 — /Travel PR News/ — Southwest Airlines has announced an extension of its flight schedule through April 7, 2025, introducing new international routes and expanding its service network. Beginning March 8, 2025, the airline will launch new Saturday flights between Nashville and two popular vacation destinations, Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos, Mexico, and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Additionally, Southwest will start service between Sacramento, California, and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

In response to increasing demand, Southwest is also adding new nonstop routes starting March 6, 2025, including connections between Austin and Milwaukee, Austin and Reno, Nashville and Indianapolis, and Sacramento and Tucson. The airline continues to cater to sports fans with additional flights supporting key football matchups this fall, including extra flights for SEC games and professional football matchups.

Southwest is also ramping up service for major events, such as the annual rodeo in Las Vegas, with extra flights scheduled between December 5 and December 15, 2024. Additionally, the airline is expanding its redeye service with new overnight flights from Denver, San Diego, and Sacramento beginning March 6, 2025.
