(PRESS RELEASE) SINGAPORE, 2025-Apr-15 — /Travel PR News/ — Singapore Airlines (SIA) is set to elevate the ground experience at its main hub by investing S$45 million in a comprehensive transformation of its SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold lounges at Singapore Changi Airport’s Terminal 2. The two-year revamp, starting on 15 April 2025 and completing around mid-2027, will deliver expanded spaces, enhanced amenities, and upgraded dining to better meet the needs of its premium customers.
Once completed, the lounges will offer 50% more space and significantly increased seating capacity, drawing on the award-winning design and service concepts of SIA’s Terminal 3 lounges. Guests can expect expanded food and beverage offerings, premium comfort zones, and thoughtfully designed areas tailored for work, rest, and relaxation.
“This significant investment underscores Singapore Airlines’ unwavering commitment to elevating the end-to-end travel experience for our customers,” said Mr Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President Customer Experience at Singapore Airlines. “With this renovation, we are extending our signature hospitality and curated experiences from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2, ensuring a seamless, world-class journey for our customers.”
The redesigned First Class SilverKris Lounge will feature high ceilings, expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, and a larger footprint for increased capacity. A standout feature will be its refined bar area offering morning barista service and evening cocktails, while a live kitchen will serve up a rotating menu of Singaporean, Asian, and Western cuisine. A generous self-service buffet will also mirror the luxury offerings found in Terminal 3.
Business Class travellers will enjoy a 30% larger SilverKris Lounge with upgraded rest areas, complete with recliners for pre-flight relaxation. The lounge will include a mix of wingback chairs, sofas, and productivity pods, allowing passengers to work, dine, or unwind in comfort. A self-service buffet and full-service bar will enhance the culinary experience throughout the day.
The KrisFlyer Gold Lounge will double in capacity, introducing lounge chairs, workstations, and dining spaces, alongside newly added in-lounge restrooms and shower suites—ideal for freshening up before departure.
To minimise guest disruption, the renovation will roll out in carefully planned phases. The First Class SilverKris Lounge will be the first to undergo construction, starting mid-April 2025 and expected to open in late 2025. The Business Class SilverKris Lounge renovation is set for the final quarter of 2025, while work on the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge will commence in the first half of 2026.
Visual previews of the upcoming lounge designs are available through the official Singapore Airlines media channels.
