Extraordinary General Meeting 13 August 2012
2012-08-16 — /travelprnews.com/ — easyJet announces that the resolution to remove Sir Mike Rake as Director and Chairman of easyJet plc was today defeated by a majority of its shareholders.
The results of the poll, incorporating proxy votes lodged in advance of the meeting, is set out below:

The percentages of votes cast are as follows:

The issued share capital of the Company on the day on which shareholders had to be on the register in order to be eligible to vote was 395,605,602.
Speaking at the EGM held at easyJet’s headquarters in Luton today, Charles Gurassa, Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Director of easyJet plc, said:
“On behalf of the entire Board I would like to thank easyJet’s shareholders for their support on this resolution, their on-going support for Sir Mike Rake and their continuing strong support for the Board and management of the airline.
“The Board continues to seek a constructive relationship with all its shareholders and urges Sir Stelios and easyGroup to engage with easyJet. I and other members of the Board are available to meet with them at any time”.
