Building on this success, the Group has announced its entry into the Democratic Republic of Congo with two landmark hotel signings and further solidified its presence in Central Africa with the signing of Radisson Blu Hotel & Apartments in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

Over the past 15 months, Radisson Hotel Group has signed 11 new hotels and opened 7 properties, adding over 2,000 signed rooms and 1,500 opened rooms to its portfolio, including 1,000 rooms from conversions. This remarkable growth underscores the Group’s strategy of focused expansion, strong local partnerships, and successful conversions, establishing Radisson Hotel Group as the leader in Africa with 100 hotels in more than 30 countries.

Expanding the Footprint: New Market Entries and Key Openings
Radisson Hotel Group is proud to announce its expansion into the Democratic Republic of Congo with the signing of two new properties: Radisson Blu Hotel, Kinshasa, and Radisson Hotel Lubumbashi. These signings are key milestones that will strengthen the Group’s presence in Central Africa.

Radisson Blu Hotel, Kinshasa – Opening Late 2026

Situated on Boulevard Colonel Tshatshi in Kinshasa’s vibrant Gombe district, this upscale hotel will offer 110 elegantly designed rooms, including suites and a Presidential Suite. Guests will enjoy a variety of dining options, including an All-Day Dining Restaurant, Lobby Bar, and Pool Bar, as well as wellness facilities such as a gym, massage rooms, and an outdoor swimming pool with a pool terrace. Radisson Hotel Lubumbashi – Opening Mid-2027

Located in Lubumbashi, the second-largest city in the DRC, Radisson Hotel Lubumbashi will feature 97 stylish guest rooms, including suites and a Presidential Suite. Key Signings and Openings Across the Region

In Guinea, Radisson Hotel Group celebrated the opening of Radisson Blu Hotel, Conakry, just three months after signing the agreement. This beachfront property features 282 rooms and suites with ocean views, offering easy access to Conakry’s business and leisure hubs.

The Group also expanded its Indian Ocean portfolio with the signing and opening of Crystals Beach Resort Belle Mare in Mauritius. This stunning resort, part of the Radisson Individuals collection, offers 234 spacious accommodations and family-friendly amenities, with breathtaking lagoon views, making it a prime destination for travelers.

Strengthening Strategic Markets and Future Pipeline

In Cameroon, Radisson Hotel Group continues to expand its footprint with the signing of Radisson Blu Hotel & Apartments, Yaoundé, set to open by the end of 2026. The 150-room hotel will be located in the city’s central business district, just 30 minutes from Yaoundé Nsimalen International Airport. The hotel will offer a selection of dining venues, including a Lobby Bar, All-Day Dining Restaurant, and Specialty Restaurant, along with 1,350 m² of flexible event space, a spa, a gym, and a rooftop pool. This signing further strengthens the Group’s growth strategy in Cameroon, with further expansion planned in Douala.

Continued Commitment to Africa’s Growth

Radisson Hotel Group remains focused on growing in key African markets such as Morocco, Nigeria, and South Africa, with a goal to open at least one property in each market in 2025. The Group’s pipeline for Morocco targets 30 hotels by 2030, while in South Africa, Radisson aims for 25 hotels by the same year. In Nigeria, the Group is continuing its growth, alongside its recent entry into the DRC, further cementing its leadership in West and Central Africa.
