(PRESS RELEASE) BRUSSELS/ LYON, 2025-Jun-3 — /Travel PR News/ — Radisson Hotel Group is proud to debut its prestigious Radisson Collection brand in France with the opening of Cour des Loges Lyon, A Radisson Collection Hotel. Located in the heart of Lyon’s UNESCO-listed Vieux Lyon district, the hotel invites guests to experience a perfect blend of history, gastronomy, and curated lifestyle experiences, creating a luxurious sanctuary in one of France’s most culturally rich cities. This highly anticipated opening marks a significant step in the expansion of Radisson Hotel Group across Europe’s most iconic destinations.
The property, dating back to the 14th century, has been an integral part of the cultural and architectural fabric of Vieux Lyon. From its origins as a home for Italian merchants and later a Jesuit college, the building was transformed into a boutique hotel in 1987 before joining Radisson Hotel Group in 2022. Now fully reimagined under the Radisson Collection brand, the hotel is a bridge between centuries, showcasing six Renaissance courtyards and a stunning 17-meter-high glass roof that crowns the central courtyard.
The renovation was expertly led by Cécile Rémond, Architecte du Patrimoine, renowned for her expertise in preserving France’s historic landmarks. The meticulous restoration honors the building’s legacy, seamlessly combining noble materials, historical objects, and contemporary luxury.
The hotel offers 61 individually designed rooms and suites, each reflecting the spirit of the Renaissance while providing modern comforts. The rooms feature unique touches like exposed wooden beams, fireplaces, and views over the historic courtyard. The Collection Suites are individually named and styled, with antique furnishings and modern amenities, providing an exclusive and personalized experience.
Tom Flanagan, Managing Director Northern & Western Europe at Radisson Hotel Group, commented, “France has always been a key market for us, and we are thrilled to debut our Radisson Collection brand with such a historic landmark. Cour des Loges Lyon is more than just a hotel – it’s a destination where culture, craftsmanship, and curated experiences define the essence of luxury-lifestyle travel.”
At Cour des Loges Lyon, dining is an experience in itself. The hotel’s fine-dining restaurant, Les Loges, is led by acclaimed Chef Anthony Bonnet. Inspired by his childhood in the Monts du Lyonnais, Bonnet creates seasonal menus using locally sourced ingredients, many from his personal garden, celebrating the rich terroir of Lyon. The restaurant, set beneath the iconic glass canopy, offers a multi-sensory dining experience that highlights both Lyon’s culinary traditions and modern French gastronomy.
For a more casual dining experience, Le Comptoir serves modern twists on classic Lyonnais dishes, perfect for relaxed meals on its charming terrace.
Soon to open, the hotel’s spa, Pure Altitude, will offer a peaceful retreat nestled beneath ancient stone vaults. The spa will feature an indoor pool, hammam, sauna, and treatments inspired by the property’s rich history, providing a serene oasis of relaxation.
Set in the heart of the Renaissance district, Cour des Loges Lyon offers one of the most atmospheric settings for events in Lyon. The hotel’s versatile venues, including the Jeu de Paume Salon, Petit Collège, and Agapes, can accommodate everything from corporate meetings to elegant banquets. Additionally, the La Petite Loge space will reopen soon, offering immersive chef-led tastings, private dinners, and gastronomic masterclasses.
Yves Grardel, General Manager of Cour des Loges Lyon, added, “We are honored to open Cour des Loges under the Radisson Collection banner. Every corner of the hotel speaks of craftsmanship, culture, and cuisine, woven together by heartfelt hospitality.
