2012-07-27 — /travelprnews.com/ — Oman Air has appointed Jamal Al Azki to the newly-created position of Assistant Country Manager for the UK and Ireland. He will be based at Oman Air’s UK office in Chiswick, London, and will report to Country Manager Rohan Alce.
Mr Al Azki was previously Oman Air’s District Sales Manager for the Sultanate of Oman, based in Muscat where he started his career in 2009.
Wayne Pearce, Oman Air’s Chief Executive Officer, welcomed Jamal to his new position, saying: “I am pleased to see Jamal Al Azki appointed to the role of Assistant Country Manager for the UK and Ireland, where I am confident that he will make an important contribution to Oman Air’s continuing success. His experience, enthusiasm and skills will be a major asset to our prestigious UK operation, helping to increase sales and ensure that all our customers enjoy and outstanding passenger experience.”
Welcoming Jamal Al Azki to his new position, Abdulrazaq Alraisi, Chief Commercial Officer, Oman Air, said: “We really wanted to create a role in London that could meet the specific demands of our large Arabic speaking customer bases in the UK. Jamal’s appointment also reflects our commitment to the training and career development of our staff into progressively more senior positions within the commercial organisation.
