Oakland, CA, 2017-Nov-07 — /Travel PR News/ — Oakland International Airport is inviting passengers to enroll on-site in the popular TSA Pre✓® expedited screening program during a temporary enrollment event in its Terminal 2 from November 6, 2017, through November 17, 2017. The temporary enrollment event returns to Oakland following positive customer response to similar enrollment events over the past year.
TSA Pre✓® has more than 450 lanes at over 160 U.S. airports.
“Oakland International welcomes this opportunity to once again partner with TSA to provide such a valuable convenience for our customers,” said Bryant L. Francis, Director of Aviation at the Port of Oakland. “We recognize that there are travelers living throughout the Bay Area who repeatedly choose OAK for their air travel needs and may benefit from the convenience of expedited screening. The success of this temporary enrollment event in the past has resulted in this new opportunity, and we encourage participation from ticketed customers already planning to be in the Airport during the event as well as others who simply find it easier to come to OAK to enroll.”
“TSA PreCheck is a win-win option for travelers, airlines, and TSA,” said David von Damm, TSA Federal Security Director at Oakland International Airport. “The benefits of TSA PreCheck continue to expand with additional airlines participating and more airports adding dedicated TSA PreCheck lanes. Increasing the number of enrollments in TSA PreCheck is the first step to ensuring the smoothest and most efficient screening experience for as many passengers as possible.”
TSA Pre✓® is an expedited screening program that enables identified low-risk air travelers to enjoy a smart and more efficient screening experience. For participants in the program, there is no need to remove shoes, 3-1-1 liquids, laptops are able to remain in their cases, and light outerwear and belts can remain on.
