Chef Maurizio exudes the aura of a passionate chef and businessman, stemming from his extensive experiences in the culinary arts and management of Italian restaurants worldwide.
Born in Milan, Italy, Chef Maurizio’s foray into the culinary world began with the family business, becoming the manager and Suez Chef of Gibillini Panateria. Since then, his firsthand experiences allowed him journey across Southeast Asia, offering consultancy services in several Thai restaurants in Bangkok, Pattaya and Koi Samui.
Chef Maurizio eventually moved to the Philippines, sharing his expertise in the kitchen. Since 1997, he has managed and prepared delectable Italian dishes at Ice Rock Caffe in Boracay, and several renowned restaurants in the Makati and Ortigas business districts namely: La Tasca, Pazzo, Pagliacci, Maurizio, and Gelatone. He is likewise currently a part owner of Olivia Trattoria in Tagaytay City.
With all his passion for his craft, expertise on Italian cuisine, bakery and gelato production, Dusit Thani Manila is greatly excited to have him on board the team.
