(PRESS RELEASE) BETHESDA, MD, 2025-Jun-2 — /Travel PR News/ — Marriott International celebrates a significant milestone with the opening of StudioRes Fort Myers, marking the official debut of its StudioRes brand and the company’s entrance into the midscale extended stay market. Nearly two years after the brand was first announced, the all-studio hotel is now open and accepting bookings. This new offering, part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, was designed with a broad range of travelers in mind, including those staying for extended work assignments, construction projects, relocations, and more.

The opening of StudioRes Fort Myers is the first of many, as Marriott plans to expand the brand with more than 40 additional properties set to open across the U.S. and Canada by the end of 2027. StudioRes features an innovative, fast-to-market construction model, providing a compelling opportunity for developers. The brand is expected to become Marriott’s most affordable cost-per-key development option.

Leeny Oberg, Marriott’s Chief Financial Officer and EVP of Development, expressed excitement about the brand’s rapid adoption by owners and franchisees. “StudioRes offers great value to customers with its efficient room designs and operational model. This success reflects the strength of the Marriott Bonvoy ecosystem and the importance of our developer relationships,” she said.

StudioRes Fort Myers delivers a smart, comfortable, and flexible extended-stay experience with studio-style rooms featuring full kitchens and modern amenities. The 124-room property offers guests communal spaces, fitness centers, and other convenient facilities to cater to long-term stays. Its proximity to Southwest Florida International Airport and local attractions makes it an appealing choice for guests.

The opening was made possible through the collaboration of Marriott with long-time partners Concord Hospitality and Whitman Peterson. Concord Hospitality, which operates nearly 80 properties within the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, has committed to developing over 40 additional StudioRes hotels. Paul Novak from Whitman Peterson, who has a history with Marriott brand openings, is confident in StudioRes’ growth potential, with several more properties already in the pipeline.

StudioRes properties are part of Marriott Bonvoy®, allowing members to earn and redeem points across the entire Marriott portfolio.
