MUNICH, 2015-5-11 — /Travel PR News/ — With its Italian atmosphere full of medieval palazzi and churches together with typical cafés and restaurants, the capital city of Umbria will soon be just a one-and-a-half-hour flight away from Munich. From this Sunday, 10th May 2015, Lufthansa will fly to Perugia from its southern hub twice a week. Munich Airport offers ideal connections to and from all German and most European airports. The Embraer 195 with the flight number LH 1924 will fly at 10:45am on Sundays and 3:00pm on Tuesdays. In August, the Tuesday flight will be replaced with a flight on Thursdays. This will give Lufthansa customers the opportunity to plan a long weekend away during the summer holidays.
Perugia is just one of a total of eight new holiday destinations, with flights to Heraklion/Crete and the Scottish city of Glasgow also departing from Munich and Lufthansa flights to Bodrum/Turkey, and Cagliari/Sardinia operating from Frankfurt for the first time this summer. Another premiere this summer is the flight from Frankfurt to Marrakesh/Morocco, which was launched last autumn. Reykjavik/Iceland and Seville/Spain are two additional new destinations from both hubs. Lufthansa customers can now choose from a total of 35 weekly flights to 18 popular seasonal summer destinations. The programme of flights departing from Frankfurt this summer contains 59 weekly flights to 17 destinations.
Prices for the return flight to Perugia start at 109 euros.
