(NEWS) SEOUL, 2025-Aug-12 — /Travel PR News/ — Korean Air is expanding its Swiss service offering with the launch of a Rail & Fly program in partnership with Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), beginning August 2025. The initiative enables passengers arriving or departing via Zurich Airport to seamlessly connect to major Swiss cities — including Geneva, Basel, Bern, Lausanne, Interlaken, and St. Gallen — using combined flight and train tickets.
Tickets can be booked directly on Korean Air’s website or through travel agencies, with flexibility to use the train either on the day of arrival or the following day, as well as the day of departure or the day before. Seat reservations are optional for a CHF 5 fee, and tickets can be issued up to 72 hours before the flight through SBB’s check-in page.
The program is designed to make travel between Korea and Switzerland more convenient, flexible, and environmentally friendly by integrating air and rail transport. It comes as Korean Air strengthens its presence in the Swiss market, having recently reopened its Zurich office and operating three weekly non-stop flights from Zurich to Seoul every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
