(PRESS RELEASE) DÜSSELDORF, 2025-Oct-28 — /Travel PR News/ — Eurowings, Germany’s largest holiday airline, has launched its inaugural flight connecting Stuttgart to Amman, marking the addition of Jordan to its expanding medium-haul network. The first flight, EW2994, departed Stuttgart at 7:49 a.m. and landed at Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) at 1:30 p.m. local time, where it was welcomed with a ceremonial water salute. The new route, operated twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays, offers travelers from southern Germany a convenient, nonstop link to Jordan’s capital, enhancing connectivity between the two regions.

Reinald Frankewitz, Head of Airport & Network Relations at Eurowings, emphasized that the new service broadens the airline’s range of attractive destinations and opens the door for more travelers to experience Jordan’s cultural richness. He highlighted Amman’s vibrant mix of history and modern life, noting that the partnership with Jordanian tourism authorities reflects a shared commitment to growing travel opportunities.
Jordan’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Emad Hijazeen, welcomed the new route, describing it as a key part of the country’s strategy to enhance air connectivity and strengthen tourism ties with Germany, the largest outbound market in the European Union. Dr. Abed Al-Razzaq Arabiyat, Managing Director of the Jordan Tourism Board, echoed this sentiment, noting that the route will boost visitor numbers and reinforce Jordan’s position as a leading destination for culture, adventure, and authentic travel experiences.

The route launch not only represents an important milestone for Eurowings’ regional network expansion but also supports Jordan’s tourism growth strategy by making the country’s diverse attractions—from the ancient city of Petra and the desert landscapes of Wadi Rum to the Dead Sea and Red Sea—more accessible to European travelers.
