Jersey, 2014-04-30 — /Travel PR News/ — The Atlantic Hotel www.theatlantichotel.com has been shortlisted for the Independent Hotel of the Year 2014 award at the Caterer and Hotelkeeper’s annual Catey Awards www.cateys.com that will take place in London on Tuesday 1 July 2014.
Widely regarded as the hospitality industry’s answer to the Oscars, the Cateys recognise the industry’s “highest flyers, strongest performers and hottest brands” and the awards ceremony is attended by the country’s leading hoteliers and restauranteurs.
More than 140 judges, selected for their expertise and industry knowledge, determine a shortlist for the Catey Awards after a rigorous initial selection process. Finalists must be able to demonstrate sound financial results, innovative marketing campaigns, exceptional standards of service and a clear strategy for future investment and growth.
The Atlantic Hotel is one of three hotels in the country shortlisted as finalists for the Cateys Independent Hotel of the Year Award. The hotel is up against Congham Hall Hotel, Norfolk and the Great Northern Hotel, London. Previous winners have included The Pig in Hampshire, The Isle of Eriska, Argyll and Lucknam Park, Bath.
On learning about being selected for the shortlist, The Atlantic Hotel’s owner Patrick Burke commented, “It is a great honour and privilege to reach this final stage and to see our hotel listed amongst the very best establishments in the country. This achievement is testament to our efforts to maintain the very highest levels of service throughout every area of the hotel, the investment made in our new interactive website and our ongoing marketing campaigns that have attracted the attention of national media and generated significant business to the island of Jersey from France, Switzerland and Germany”.
The ultimate winners remain a closely guarded secret until they are announced at a glittering event on Tuesday 1 July at London’s Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel.
