JAL Empowers Dreamers with Expanded ‘DREAM MILES PASS’ Initiative for a Sustainable Future
(IN SHORT) Japan Airlines (JAL) continues to build bridges through travel with its “DREAM MILES PASS” project, which was initiated last fall in collaboration with JAL Mileage Bank (JMB) members. The project supports dreamers, similar to the inspirational journey of Shohei Ohtani, by providing travel assistance through DREAM MILES PASS tickets. In the first phase, winners from various age groups have embarked on their dream journeys and shared their experiences in the “DREAM MILES PASS REPORT” available on the campaign site. Encouraged by the success of the first phase, JAL is launching the second phase on April 1, 2025, targeting adults with passionate aspirations, with applications open until April 30, 2025, and eligible travel dates from July 1 to December 19, 2025. Participants aged 15 and above can apply to win either domestic or international round-trip economy flight tickets based on their travel routes, with the number of winners determined by the application content and the support miles contributed by supporters. Supporters, primarily JMB members, can contribute a specified number of miles to help Dreamers, with the contributed value converted into flight tickets, and will receive a digital wallpaper featuring Shohei Ohtani. The campaign is further promoted through a series of advertisements featuring inspirational messages from Shohei Ohtani, with media placements on TV, YouTube, and X, and outdoor advertising commencing from April 11 at Hamamatsucho Station. These initiatives highlight JAL’s mission to nurture relationships and achieve sustainability through travel.
(PRESS RELEASE) TOKYO, 2025-Apr-1 — /Travel PR News/ — Japan Airlines (JAL) is inspiring dreams and fostering connections through travel with the ongoing “DREAM MILES PASS” project. Launched last fall in partnership with JAL Mileage Bank (JMB) members, the initiative is designed to support individuals pursuing their dreams—just like Shohei Ohtani—by offering travel assistance through DREAM MILES PASS tickets.
In this first phase, winners from a diverse age range have already embarked on journeys toward their aspirations and are now sharing their personal experiences and challenges via the “DREAM MILES PASS REPORT” available on the campaign website. Building on the success of this initial phase, JAL is set to launch the second phase on April 1, 2025, with a new focus on “adults with dreams as passionate as those of the youth,” aiming to further enrich the program’s offerings.
The project details for Phase 2, titled “Dreamer,” include an application period from April 1 at 10:00 AM to April 30 at 11:59 PM, with eligible travel between July 1 and December 19, 2025. Participants aged 15 and older, who have completed compulsory education, can win either a round-trip domestic economy flight ticket or an international one with JAL, depending on their specified travel route.
The number of winners will depend on the content of the applications and the number of support miles contributed by supporters. For those wishing to join as Supporters, applications are also open during the same period, requiring them to contribute miles—ranging from 500 to 3,000 miles—with the mileage value returned to Dreamers in the form of a flight ticket, along with a digital wallpaper featuring Shohei Ohtani.
In addition to these opportunities, various advertisements featuring comments from Shohei Ohtani will begin airing on TV, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter) starting March 31, with outdoor advertising launching from April 11 at Hamamatsucho Station. These efforts underline JAL’s commitment to creating meaningful travel experiences that help individuals achieve their dreams and contribute to a sustainable future through lasting relationships and community engagement.
