This new addition will mark the continued expansion of IHG’s portfolio in Queensland, with the Holiday Inn Townsville scheduled to open in early 2026 following an extensive refurbishment.
Located in the heart of Townsville’s CBD, at the corner of Stanley Street and Flinders Street, the property will be perfectly positioned near key landmarks such as the Queensland Country Bank Stadium, the Queensland Tropics Museum, and the Townsville Yacht Club. The 93-room hotel will offer the signature hospitality and innovative design that the Holiday Inn brand is known for, creating an ideal base for both leisure and business travelers.
The new Holiday Inn Townsville will feature a modern all-day dining restaurant, as well as extensive conference and event facilities, catering to the region’s growing tourism and corporate markets. Guests will also enjoy the Holiday Inn Open Lobby concept, a vibrant, flexible space that seamlessly integrates dining, social, and work areas, making it an ideal setting for both relaxation and productivity.
