(PRESS RELEASE) Paris, France, 2024-Sep-19 — /Travel PR News/ — On September 19, 2024, ibis, a leading name in the global economy hotel sector, unveiled its latest global campaign, “Go Get It,” in celebration of its 50th anniversary. The campaign highlights the brand’s enduring commitment to delivering affordable and high-quality travel experiences, focusing on the diverse reasons that motivate people to travel.

Since its founding in 1974, ibis has been a pioneer in making quality travel accessible, redefining what economy hospitality could be. Today, the brand operates more than 2,600 hotels across 79 countries, providing nearly 300,000 rooms under its three distinct labels: ibis, ibis Styles, and ibis budget. Each branch offers a unique atmosphere and design, but all are unified by the core values of affordability, innovation, and guest satisfaction.

“Fifty years ago, ibis changed the travel landscape by introducing economy hospitality to the world,” said Jean-Yves Minet, Global Brand President of Accor’s Midscale & Economy division. “With our ‘Go Get It’ campaign, we aim to empower travelers to make the most of their journeys, offering the reliability and quality our guests have come to expect.”

In collaboration with Saatchi & Saatchi London, ibis launched the “Go Get It” campaign, featuring heartwarming stories set in ibis hotels, showcasing real-life moments that capture the essence of travel. The campaign was filmed at ibis London Sutton Point, featuring staff members, also known as Heartists®, from various ibis locations.

As part of the campaign, ibis released exclusive data on global travel trends, revealing key insights about what drives modern travelers. For instance, 45% of respondents are inspired to choose destinations based on family and friends, while 72% would prefer to stay at affordable hotels and spend more on experiences. The research also highlighted a growing reliance on social media for travel decisions, with 25% of travelers influenced by social platforms when booking their vacations.

Karelle Lamouche, Chief Commercial Officer of Accor’s Premium, Midscale & Economy brands, added, “As we see an increase in global travel, especially in regions like Asia, ibis is ready to meet the evolving needs of today’s travelers by continuing to offer the exceptional service and value that have defined us for half a century.”

The “Go Get It” campaign is now live across multiple platforms, including social media and television, celebrating ibis’ role in making travel experiences accessible and memorable for millions of people around the world.
