2012-08-24 — /travelprnews.com/ — Two leading providers to the travel industry further reinforce their relationship through an integration of Hotelzon’s advanced technology with Travelport Rooms and More as a means to grow its business.
Created specifically for travel professionals, Travelport Rooms and More gives agents real time access to one of the world’s largest hotel inventories and offers solutions for simplified commission payments and other back office functions.
The agreement with Travelport will enable travel agencies and hotel booking agents around the world to access the Hotelzon inventory that covers over 40% of Europe’s hotel stock and 140 000 hotels across the globe. Hotelzon’s progressive technology uses sophisticated algorithms to understand accommodation booking patterns and enables it to grow its inventory, while Travelport is recognised as leading provider of informed travel choice through a distribution network covering over 170 countries, as well as being a provider of transaction processing solutions.
Inventories can be updated in just 24 hours via Hotelzon’s extranet, WebConnect, or via direct connectivity, reflecting the needs of individual agents or emergent travel destinations. With over 40 years of experience in the sector, Hotelzon boasts an inventory of 37,000 exclusive hotels that could not be previously sold via a GDS, balancing global hotel chains with smaller independent properties in capital cities as well as smaller regional cities.
Jani Kaskinen, Hotelzon partner and CEO said, “We have an excellent relationship with Travelport that goes back many years and we are delighted to further enhance this partnership.”
