Hershey Lodge Announces New Executive Chef

Hershey, Pa, – 2012-12-10 — /travelprnews.com/ — Hershey Entertainment & Resorts has announced that Bart Umidi has been appointed as Executive Chef of Hershey Lodge.

A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Bart has an impressive culinary background in both Banquet and a la Carte dining. He comes to Hershey from The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa where he also held the position of Executive Chef. Previously, he was the Executive Chef at The Westin Maui Resort and Spa. Prior to joining Westin, Umidi held various positions with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, including posts in Bermuda and Scottsdale, AZ. Prior positions include Sous Chef at The Broadmoor located in Colorado Springs, CO; and The Greenbrier, located in White Sulphur Springs, WV.

“Bart’s experience in developing culinarians for advancement, and creating menus for a wide range of events and restaurants has prepared him for his new role at the Lodge and we welcome him,” said Fred Hansen, Food & Beverage Director of Hershey Lodge. “The scope and diversity of his experience brings different cultures and cuisines to our guests.”
Umidi, who embraces regional influences of each destination enriching both his personal and culinary perspectives, has relocated to the area with his family.
