Hapag-Lloyd Cruises unveils four new EUROPA 2 itineraries for summer 2027 from Asia to the Mediterranean

(NEWS) HAMBURG, Germany, 2025-Sep-05 — /Travel PR News/ — Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has unveiled four new itineraries for its small luxury ship EUROPA 2, scheduled between June and August 2027, offering guests unique routes from Southeast Asia across the Indian Ocean and African coastlines to the western Mediterranean. These new voyages replace the previously published Red Sea routes, adjusted due to the geopolitical situation in the region.

The redesigned journeys will feature destinations such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Mauritius, Mozambique, South Africa, Namibia, Cape Verde, Tenerife, Andalusia, and the Balearic Islands, with the option to combine them as part of an extended voyage to Hamburg. Highlights include extended overnight stays in Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore, exploration of volcanic landscapes in Réunion and Tenerife, wildlife-rich coasts in Namibia, and cultural contrasts across Mediterranean hotspots. Guests can also enjoy the ship’s signature IN2BALANCE wellness programme on selected cruises, offering innovative training, relaxation, and mindfulness practices during days at sea.

Consistently rated “best ship in the world” by Insight Guides Cruising & Cruise Ships (formerly Berlitz Cruise Guide), the EUROPA 2 combines world-class service with award-winning cuisine, wellness, and entertainment. Early booking discounts are now available for all four itineraries, which can be reserved individually or as part of a longer journey.

As part of its commitment to offering exclusive cultural experiences at sea, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ EUROPA 2 is currently showcasing two bespoke productions by the acclaimed Australian contemporary circus company Circa—Seas the Night, created especially for the ship, and Wolf. Performed in the onboard theater during the vessel’s Western Europe sailings, the shows combine raw acrobatic artistry with emotive storytelling, presented without traditional circus apparatus. Following their success, Circa will return to EUROPA 2 in 2026 for two Pacific cruises: a 21-day journey from Los Angeles to Tahiti and a 22-day voyage from Tahiti to Easter Island and Valparaíso. These performances reinforce EUROPA 2’s reputation for intimate, world-class entertainment tailored to its exclusive capacity of just 500 guests.
