RAK Airways’ endorsed its support to Iceland Water Park in its recent event, ‘The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson’ which saw 200 young swimmers from ages 1 to 5 introduced to a rather interesting swimming lesson. This initiative has been backed by the Guinness World Records where, over 55 such water parks participated worldwide on the designated day 18 June 2013 at 7:00 pm UAE time.
Speaking of the event, Mr. Santokh Chawla, Managing Director of Iceland Water Park, Ras Al Khaimah said, ‘This is the first time Iceland Water Park has partnered with World Water Park, USA, for an entry into the Guinness World Records, to mark the importance of safety when considering swimming. While the arrangements took time to ensure that the participants would have a fun lesson of safety, we are proud of the keen interest of our local partners whose support has brought forth a fruitful event. RAK Airways has and is our keen partner, in our endeavor to educate our swimming community on safety and many such CSR activities.’
