In collaboration with the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG), the Van Gogh Floral Afternoon Tea draws inspiration from the artist’s celebrated floral motifs and aligns with the Garden’s upcoming exhibition, Van Gogh’s Flowers.
From May 6 through June 28, 2025, Gotham Lounge will transform into a vibrant space that echoes the expressive spirit of Van Gogh’s masterpieces. The atmosphere will be filled with floral arrangements, and the culinary team will present an elegant Afternoon Tea service featuring floral-inspired sweet and savory creations. Scones will be served with whimsical chocolate paintbrushes, while other treats include chocolate and honey Sunflowers, vanilla and custard Cherry Blossoms, and blueberry and almond sponge Lavenders. Savory selections will include “Potted Plants” with truffle dip and porcini soil, Sunflower Seed Foie Gras on brioche, and a Maine Lobster Roll. The experience will be complemented by a curated selection of floral teas and a glass of Peninsula Private Label Champagne.
Gotham Lounge, recently reopened for the season, offers an immersive culinary experience with a vibrant ambiance for both New York residents and out-of-town visitors.
