Bringing over 28 years of global hospitality leadership—including 18 years in senior roles within the Mandarin Oriental Group—Susanne Hatje arrives from London’s Mandarin Oriental, Mayfair, where she oversaw the hotel’s pre-opening and successful launch beginning in 2022. Before that, she steered Mandarin Oriental, New York for nine years, earning acclaim for service excellence. Her distinguished career also includes senior posts in Munich, Hong Kong, Boston, Las Vegas, and Hawaii, and she played a pivotal role in opening Mandarin Oriental’s Boston and The Landmark Hong Kong properties.
In her new capacity at the Conservatorium Hotel, Ms. Hatje will apply her deep expertise in brand transformations to guide the property’s repositioning and ensure the seamless integration of Mandarin Oriental’s renowned luxury standards. Her leadership will be critical in elevating one of Amsterdam’s most beloved hotels to even greater heights.
