Pudong, Shanghai, China, 2018-Mar-09 — /Travel PR News/ — Four Seasons Hotel Pudong, Shanghai announces the appointment of Boris Blobel as its General Manager.
A German national, Boris was raised in Germany and Japan. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management from Purdue University, USA and is currently a part-time Executive MBA Scholarship Student at the Mannheim Business School in Germany.
Boris possesses extensive work experience throughout China. He started his career in Asia as a front office nanager at Grand Hyatt Beijing in 2002 before taking the next step on the ladder as director of rooms at Hyatt Regency Hangzhou in 2004. Another couple of years later, he moved back to Grand Hyatt Beijing in the same capacity.
In 2008, Boris became director of operations at the Conrad Shanghai and shortly thereafter was appointed resident manager and subsequently resort manager of the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island. An assignment at the Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa in Thailand was followed by Boris joining Wanda Hotels & Resorts. He managed with great success the Wanda Vista Changsha as well as the Wanda Reign Wuhan which, in 2015, led to him earning the responsibility to open their flagship Wanda Reign on the Bund, Shanghai and a promotion to managing director of East China.
Outside of work, Boris loves travelling the world with his family.
