Bringing inspiration to the wellness sanctuary of the Hotel with her lifelong passion in spa
Macau, China – 2012-12-28 — /travelprnews.com/ — Alice Leung, the new Spa Director at Four Seasons Hotel Macao, is no stranger in the Macau market as she has been working in luxury international spas before she joined Four Seasons family, and moved her way up to lead the renowned Spa at Four Seasons in Macau.
Journey to Macau
Growing up in the modern and energetic city of Hong Kong within a non-traditional Chinese family, Alice was immersed in the concepts of fashion and beauty from an early age, and her interest in the beauty industry only grew stronger when she finished high school in New Zealand.
Qualified in CIDESCO, ITEC and Diploma of Beauty Therapy in New Zealand, Alice started her esthetician and therapist career in 2005 with Steiner Leisure Limited, a company that operates spas and salons on board more than 25 luxury cruise lines. Travel around the Mediterranean, Europe, British Isles, Iceland and the Caribbean gave Alice hands-on experience working with multi-national guests. Alice then relocated back to Hong Kong and joined The Peninsula as part of the pre-opening spa team in 2006. During that time, Alice realized the importance of holistic therapy, healing and balance of body, mind and spirit for each individual guest, and educating guests to balance their lifestyle.
Her calling to Macau came in 2007, having heard a lot of motivating stories about this neighbouring city known as Asia’s Las Vegas. Alice decided to expand her spa horizon to Macau – a destination of world class entertainment, and an unique mix of western and oriental beauty – to manage the spa at Wynn Macau for six years, as well as opening the spa at Encore Macau in 2010.
The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Macao
Along with a lifelong passion in spa, Alice is a perfectionist. Her ultimate pleasure in life is to help herself and others to achieve inside-out beauty and wellness, and there is no better place to achieve this than in a luxury hotel spa environment with a good company culture and management philosophy. Thus, in November 2012, she joined Four Seasons as Spa Director at Four Seasons Hotel Macao, Cotai Strip.
Encompassing a vast space of 1,858 square metres (20,000 square feet), the Spa is a sophisticated urban sanctuary that comprises 14 treatment rooms including two lavish spa suites, extensive hydrotherapy facilities, and relaxation areas for both men and women to enjoy separately. The Spa currently offers a menu of services that incorporates holistic rituals and massage therapy by Aromatherapy Associates and Organic Pharmacy, as well as results-driven treatments by Natura Bissé.
