EVA Air ranked among the world’s safest airlines for the third year in a row by AirlineRatings.com

Luzhu District, Taiwan, 2016-1-11 — /Travel PR News/ — AirlineRatings.com has ranked EVA Air among the world’s safest airlines for the third year in a row. EVA has consistently been recognized by the website and other organizations around the globe for its spotless safety record. The standards the website used to make its 2016 safety rankings represent best airline safety practices established by aviation governing bodies, associations and governments, in addition to analysis of crash data. Travelers can learn more about EVA’s consistent commitment quality services and safety at www.evaair.com.

AirlineRatings.com’s editors and content curators are recognized worldwide for their expertise and deep knowledge of the industry. The website regularly monitors and evaluates 407 airlines. From these carriers, it identified the world’s 20 safest airlines. Each these airlines has earned AirlineRatings’ maximum seven-star safety rating and met its high standards.*

“Our editors scrutinize every aspect of an airline’s safety program, including management oversight, leadership in the cockpit and maintenance,” said AirlineRatings.com Editor-in-Chief Geoffrey Thomas. “Our editors continue to be impressed by EVA Air’s attention to detail and its impeccable safety record. Typically, the best safety-oriented airlines also offer the best product.”

EVA has also earned AirlineRatings’ seven stars for its product. For almost a quarter of a century, EVA has been uncompromising in its focus on maintenance, repair, upkeep, employee training and service.

AirlineRatings ranked EVA Elite Class and Economy services in the top-10 “best for economy plus and economy class travel for 2015” and, after evaluating quality of service, products, equipment and safety, counted the carrier among the world’s top-10 best airlines for 2016. SKYTRAX also ranked EVA as one of the “World’s Top-10 Best Airlines” and the number one airline for “Best Airline Cabin Cleanliness” for 2015, based on its prestigious annual quality satisfaction survey of travelers worldwide.

EVA has been recognized among the world’s 10 safest airlines by Aero International Magazine’s eight times since 2004. And it has demonstrated zero-defects in IATA’s Operational Safety Audits (IOSA), performed every two years since 2005.

EVA steadily renews and upgrades its fleet by replacing older aircraft and introducing new, advanced models, including Boeing 777-300ERs and Airbus A321-200s. Executives just signed a purchase agreement for up to 24 environmentally conscious, fuel-efficient Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners that the airline will use on medium-range routes and, with its growing fleet of Boeing 777-300ERs, on long-haul flights.

*AirlineRatings used seven criteria to assess airlines. Each of the top-20 airlines has:

1.Completed an IATA (International Air Transport Association) Operational Safety Audit, ie, earned IOSA Certification.

2. Met the European Union’s high standards of aircraft maintenance and regulatory oversight and is not listed on the EU Blacklist.

3. Maintained a fatality-free record for the past 10 years.

4. Served the United States from a country that upholds Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) aircraft operations and maintenance requirements.

5. Originated in a country that fulfills all eight International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) safety parameters.

6. Never been grounded by any governing aviation safety authority.
