The new terminal is designed to improve socio-economic and cultural connections and provides a modern and efficient travel experience for passengers. The new terminal supports tourism, especially with access to the Bale Mountains National Park and Sof Omar cave. Bale, renowned for its proximity to the stunning Sof Omar cave and the Bale Mountains National Park, is one of Ethiopia’s top tourist destinations. Ethiopian Airlines’ flights to Bale Robe play a crucial role in boosting tourism in the region by improving accessibility and promoting the area’s natural attractions.

As part of its strategy to improve regional connectivity, Ethiopian Airlines serves more than 22 destinations across the country. This is reflected in the airline’s operations, which include up to 14 weekly flights to and from Wako Gutu Airport.
