Airline unveils unique nose-to-tail A380 livery and unique inflight services to mark the tip-off of the 2024-25 NBA season

From November 1 to December 17, passengers on select U.S. and Canadian routes will enjoy NBA-themed onboard services, including courtside-inspired menus and live game broadcasts. Emirates lounges at several airports will also feature limited-time NBA-themed menus, and fans can purchase NBA-branded merchandise, including replica models of the newly designed aircraft.
(PRESS RELEASE) Dubai, UAE, 2024-Oct-18 — /Travel PR News/ — Emirates, the Official Global Airline Partner of the NBA and title sponsor of the upcoming Emirates NBA Cup, has revealed a striking new livery on one of its iconic A380 aircraft to celebrate the start of the 2024-25 NBA season. The eye-catching nose-to-tail design features a blue gradient across the fuselage, highlighted by the NBA logo and a red Emirates lettering, symbolizing the partnership between the airline and the NBA.
The unique A380 livery, designed and executed by Emirates’ in-house Engineering Aircraft Appearance Centre team, took 24 days to complete. The project involved stripping, repainting, and applying custom graphics to create the visually striking aircraft, which will begin flying across the Emirates network next week.
Passengers flying to and from 14 destinations in the U.S. and Canada between November 1 and December 17 will enjoy special NBA-themed onboard services, including co-branded headrests, courtside-themed menus, and basketball-inspired dishes and drinks. The airline’s A380 Onboard Lounge will also offer these themed offerings, and fans can catch live NBA Cup games on Emirates’ in-flight entertainment system, Sport24.
In Emirates lounges at select airports, including Dubai, New York JFK, and Los Angeles, passengers will be treated to limited-time NBA-themed menus, further enhancing the celebration of this global partnership.
