(PRESS RELEASE) Nairobi, Kenya, 2024-Nov-9 — /Travel PR News/ — Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has introduced its first Emirates World store in Nairobi, Kenya, marking the debut of its reimagined retail concept in Africa. Located at The Cube on Riverside Drive, this newly designed store provides Kenyan travelers with a unique, elevated customer experience and access to Emirates’ premium products and services, with further expansion across Africa anticipated soon.
The store was inaugurated by Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations, joined by Dr. Salim Alnaqbi, UAE Ambassador to Kenya, along with other dignitaries and partners from the trade and media.
Emirates Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, commented, “We are thrilled to launch our refreshed retail concept here in Africa, starting in Kenya. The Emirates World store brings a taste of our ‘Fly Better’ experience to life through personalized service, immersive displays, and smart technology. It is designed to inspire our customers and enhance their travel experience right from the first step in our store.”
The 330-square-meter open-plan, lounge-style space is designed with Emirates’ signature light, airy colors, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Customers can explore features like a life-sized replica of the A380 Onboard Lounge and interactive tech such as a “selfie mirror” with scenic backdrops. Expert consultants are available at six service counters, offering personalized travel planning, reservations, and information on Emirates Holidays. Self-service kiosks are also on hand to minimize wait times and facilitate quick bookings.
Emirates has long been committed to Kenya, approaching its 30-year anniversary in Nairobi since launching flights in 1995. Through its partnership with Kenya Airways, Emirates now offers seamless connections from Nairobi to 28 African destinations, enabling more efficient travel across the continent. In 2023, over 12,000 passengers utilized this interline partnership, benefiting from a broader network.
Emirates also supports several Kenyan charities through its Emirates Airline Foundation, funding meal programs, educational initiatives, and scholarships to support child welfare and education across the country.
This new Emirates World store in Nairobi will allow Kenyan travelers to explore the airline’s offerings up close, with plans for more stores to follow in Africa soon.
