(PRESS RELEASE) Manchester, UK, 2024-Mar-6 — /Travel PR News/ — Manchester Airport’s Runway Visitor Park (RVP) has announced an egg-citing event over the Easter weekend.
‘Breakfast with the Easter Bunny’ will give youngsters a chance to explore the iconic Concorde aircraft before helping the Easter Bunny design a Concorde-inspired Easter Egg. It will run for two days only – Easter Sunday (31st March) and Easter Monday (1st April).
Tours will start with breakfast underneath the wings of the Concorde with the Easter Bunny, who will be around to greet guests and have photos taken with them. Guests will then be invited to go onboard Concorde and take a short tour with one of the Runway Visitor Park’s expert guides.
The aircraft on display at the Visitor Park, Alpha Charlie, was British Airways’ flagship Concorde and was a favourite of the rich and famous for transatlantic crossings in the 1980s and 1990s, including Queen Elizabeth II – visitors will get to see the Queen’s favourite seat, as well as the flight deck.
Following the tour, the children will be asked if they can help the Easter Bunny design a Concorde inspired Easter Egg and these will be displayed in the Concorde Hangar after the event, with prizes awarded for the most creative entries.
All children participating will receive a chocolate Easter egg and a certificate.
Breakfast will be served in a buffet style, with Sausage, Bacon, Omelette, Beans, Mushroom, Tomato, Hash Brown and Barm Cakes. Vegetarian sausages and gluten-free options will also be available.
Tickets are just £15 for children and £20 for adults, including the buffet breakfast, and guests can benefit from a full day’s parking at the reduced rate of £5 – giving them the chance to take in the Visitor Park’s other attractions, such as its observation deck with sweeping views across one of Britain’s busiest runways, tours of the park’s retired airliners and a 360-degree immersive Flight Simulator. The Visitor Park also offers a sizeable play area and on-site café.
Paul Emblow, manager of the Runway Visitor Park, said: “The Concorde is arguably the most recognisable aircraft in the history of aviation, and the Easter Bunny is a pretty iconic figure too, so we are delighted he’s agreed to take a break from his very busy schedule over the Easter weekend to meet guests at the Visitor Park. You’d be hopping mad to miss this.”
Guests can book tours and experiences online via the RVP’s website and are encouraged to visit the What’s On page for guidelines, terms, and conditions before booking.
