The service will utilize the Airbus A350, known for its state-of-the-art amenities. Delta is enhancing the travel experience with the opening of the new Delta One Lounge at LAX, along with recent airport upgrades aimed at providing a more comfortable journey for passengers. The airline will operate 17 weekly flights to China, including the new route, and aims to offer an efficient and premium travel experience with a range of seating options and services. The A350 will feature Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, and Main Cabin experiences, with various amenities and entertainment options available for all travelers.

With the relaunch of the Los Angeles-Shanghai route, Delta will operate a total of 17 weekly flights between the U.S. and China, which includes existing services from both Detroit and Seattle.

Enhancing Travel for Los Angeles Passengers

Delta continues to expand its footprint at LAX, offering more than 150 peak-day departures to nearly 60 destinations, alongside new and resumed flights to Auckland, Paris, and Brisbane commencing December 4.

Passengers departing from LAX will benefit from Delta’s modernized Sky Way, featuring a sprawling 1.2-million-square-foot terminal with 27 gates. The facility boasts a centralized check-in area, Digital ID-enabled security screening, and the acclaimed Delta Sky Club, which was named North America’s Best Airline Lounge in 2023.

Delta One customers can enjoy exclusive access to the Delta One Lounge at LAX, which accommodates nearly 200 guests. This lounge is directly connected to the dedicated Delta One check-in area, offering personalized service and expedited TSA screening, allowing guests to transition from the curb to the lounge in mere minutes.

The Los Angeles to Shanghai route will operate three times a week on Delta’s Airbus A350-900, featuring a variety of premium travel options, including Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin experiences. Delta One customers will relish a luxurious experience with lie-flat seating, premium bedding, enhanced beverage choices, and seasonal, chef-curated four-course meals.
