(NEWS) ABU DHABI, UAE, 2025-Nov-3 — /Travel PR News/ — Teleport, Southeast Asia’s eCommerce logistics specialist, has expanded its long-standing collaboration with Etihad Cargo — the cargo and logistics division of Etihad Airways — through the launch of a new dedicated freighter service from Phnom Penh’s Techno International Airport (KTI). Scheduled to begin during the winter 2025 season, according to their press release, the new service will operate twice weekly using Airbus A321F aircraft, adding 50 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity to support Cambodia’s growing export market and strengthen the country’s trade connectivity to global destinations.
Founded in 2018 as AirAsia’s logistics venture, Teleport has rapidly grown into Southeast Asia’s leading integrated logistics solutions provider, serving businesses, eCommerce marketplaces, and freight forwarders across both major and secondary cities in the region. With a unique hybrid model combining its own freighters, third-party airline partners, and exclusive access to belly space on AirAsia passenger flights, Teleport operates the region’s largest air logistics network. Complementing this is its expanding multi-modal fleet, offering door-to-door delivery options — from first to last mile — designed to move goods “better than anyone else across Southeast Asia.”
The new Phnom Penh deployment, announced at Air Cargo Southeast Asia, further extends Teleport’s partnership with Etihad Cargo, which already operates successful joint freighter routes from Ho Chi Minh City. The Phnom Penh service will connect via Abu Dhabi, offering Cambodian exporters direct access to Etihad Cargo’s vast international network spanning the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas.
The added freighter capacity will benefit key sectors such as garments, electronics, perishables, and pharmaceuticals, aligning with Cambodia’s expanding export industries. It also follows Etihad Airways’ recent launch of passenger flights to Phnom Penh with its Airbus A321LR, which have already shown strong cargo utilization rates.
Stanislas Brun, Chief Cargo Officer at Etihad Airways, noted that this initiative underscores Etihad Cargo’s commitment to supporting Southeast Asia’s fast-evolving trade flows, while Jan Philipp Pöter, Chief Business Officer of Teleport, emphasized how their partnership — evolving from interline cooperation in 2022 to a multi-route freighter network by 2025 — demonstrates their shared agility and forward-thinking approach.
Through this expansion, Teleport and Etihad Cargo continue to enhance regional and global logistics efficiency. Driven by a pioneering spirit and guided by what they call “The Teleport Way,” Teleport’s mission to redefine how goods move across Southeast Asia continues to take flight — now with greater reach and connectivity through Etihad Cargo’s global network.
