Air India and Icelandair Launch Codeshare Partnership to Strengthen Connectivity Between India and Iceland

Air India customers will have access to Icelandair flights to Reykjavik, while Icelandair customers can connect to key Indian cities through Air India’s extensive network. The partnership aims to boost travel and trade between the two regions, with flights becoming available for booking once regulatory approvals are secured.

(PRESS RELEASE) NEW DELHI, 2025-Jun-2 — /Travel PR News/ — Air India and Icelandair have announced a new codeshare partnership, enhancing connectivity between India and Iceland while providing seamless travel options across 15 routes in India and Europe. The strategic collaboration between the two national carriers is designed to offer passengers greater flexibility, improved travel experiences, and smoother connections through major European hubs.

The codeshare agreement, which was signed during the 81st IATA AGM in New Delhi, will allow Air India customers to access Icelandair-operated flights to Reykjavik (KEF) via European gateways such as London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Milan, and Zurich. Additionally, Icelandair customers will gain convenient connections on Air India-operated flights to key Indian cities, with Icelandair placing its ‘FI’ code on Air India flights between Delhi and major European cities like Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, and London Heathrow, as well as between Mumbai and London Heathrow, Frankfurt.

Subject to regulatory approvals, the codeshare flights will be progressively made available for booking through the airlines’ respective booking channels.
