(PRESS RELEASE) Paris, France, 2024-Sep-4 — /Travel PR News/ — Accor has announced the winners of the 2024 Accor Design Awards at the prestigious Maison&Objet Fair in Paris. The awards, now in their eighth year, highlight innovative concepts in luxury hotel design, with this year’s competition focusing on reimagining the future of luxury hospitality in partnership with Accor’s iconic Sofitel brand.

The 2024 edition attracted nearly 100 entries from architecture and interior design students worldwide, representing 20 schools across eight countries. Students were challenged to create visionary designs that blend luxury, sustainability, and cultural engagement, with the winning concepts set to influence the future direction of the Sofitel brand.

The competition’s judging panel, chaired by renowned designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán, selected winners from a shortlist of ten finalists. These projects showcased a diverse range of ideas, from integrating nature and sustainable practices into hotel lobbies to creating spaces that celebrate cultural heritage and community.

Elodie Noël, Global SVP Brand Design for Sofitel, praised the students’ creativity and foresight, emphasizing the importance of aligning design with evolving guest expectations in the luxury hospitality sector. The winners were announced during a ceremony at Maison&Objet on September 5, highlighting the event’s role as a hub for global design innovation.

This year’s awards not only celebrate the winners but also reflect Accor’s commitment to nurturing new talent and driving forward-thinking design in the hospitality industry. The collaboration with Sofitel, a brand synonymous with French elegance and art de vivre, provided a fitting platform for students to explore the future of luxury hotel design.
