Abu Dhabi Airports Company welcomed Air France-KLM-Martinair Cargo’s newly launched flight operations to Abu Dhabi International Airport

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 2013-07-15 — /travelprnews.com/ — Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) welcomed on the 14th of June the newly added Air France-KLM-Martinair Cargo flight to Abu Dhabi International Airport. The aircraft arrived to Abu Dhabi International Airport at 2305 local time, where it was saluted with the traditional water cannons.

This flight is the first of two 747 full freighter frequencies that began operating from the 14th of June as an intermediate stop on the India and Asia routes. Next to that, the airline currently operates a daily A330 passenger service with belly capacity between Amsterdam and Abu Dhabi, and a second daily passenger service is operated by codeshare partner Etihad Airways.

Commenting on the inaugural flight, Engineer Ahmad Al Haddabi, Chief Operations Officer of ADAC, said:

Air France-KLM-Martinair cargo has inaugurated this new route which will enable their customers to have smooth access to many connecting destinations within the network of its partner Etihad, offering new possibilities to countries such as Australia, India and more access options to existing destinations.

Air France-KLM-Martinair Cargo will start operating its two cargo flights every Wednesday and Friday, using a 747 full freighter as an intermediate stop on the India and Asia routes. The aircraft has a cargo capacity of 117 tonnes.
