(NEWS) LONDON, 2025-Oct-9 — /Travel PR News/ — British Airways has taken its premium ground experience to new heights with the launch of two stunning airport lounges at Miami International Airport and Dubai International Airport — both showcasing the airline’s brand-new global lounge design concept. Created in collaboration with global design firm Gensler, the new concept blends British sophistication with local influences, creating spaces that are both distinctive and connected through a unified architectural identity.
The Miami lounge — the largest British Airways lounge outside London at 13,000 square feet — draws from the city’s Art Deco heritage, featuring sweeping views of the airfield, a full-service bar serving cocktails like the signature Prickly Margarita, and five distinct zones for dining, relaxation, and work. A dedicated Concorde Dining Room offers à la carte dishes such as Wagyu beef and diver scallops, paired with premium champagnes and English sparkling wines.

In Dubai, the 5,800-square-foot lounge reflects the UAE’s architectural elegance, with arches, mirrored ceilings, and artisanal finishes. Guests can enjoy Arabic breakfasts, mezze, and a Dubai Chocolate Martini alongside British favourites, in a setting that harmoniously combines Middle Eastern flair and British design. Both lounges feature the exclusive Concorde Dining Rooms for First Class travellers, offering elevated dining and service.
As part of its continued investment in the U.S. market, British Airways is also expanding its transatlantic network with the launch of a new direct service from London Heathrow to St. Louis, Missouri — the airline’s 27th U.S. destination and its only direct UK link to the city. The inaugural flight will take off in April 2026, aligning with the 100th anniversary of Route 66, and will operate four times weekly. This milestone comes alongside a boost in flight frequencies to several key U.S. cities, including a double-daily service to Miami, reflecting the airline’s growing commitment to connecting the UK with major destinations across North America.
These openings and route expansions form part of British Airways’ £7 billion transformation programme, following recent lounge refurbishments in Gatwick, Lagos, Singapore, Seattle, and Washington Dulles. The lounges embody the airline’s renewed focus on hospitality, craftsmanship, and a sense of place — reimagining the pre-flight experience as a luxurious and culturally immersive retreat.
