(PRESS RELEASE) ZURICH, 2025-Apr-4 — /Travel PR News/ — Zurich Airport is set to unveil its new gastronomic highlight, TREATS, a sprawling 2,000-square-metre food hall that will become the centerpiece of the airport’s shopping area renovation. Operated by the food collective ag, part of the Pointbreak Group, TREATS is scheduled to open in autumn 2027.

Spanning two levels with a 12-metre-high ceiling and accommodating over 1,000 seats, TREATS promises one of the largest food hall experiences in Switzerland. The venue will host a diverse range of culinary delights with 16 food stalls, food trucks, four bars, and a café, while also featuring a stage for events and several outdoor terraces. As the motto suggests, this is the perfect place to “Treat yourself!” according to Stefan Gross, Chief Commercial Officer of Flughafen Zürich AG.

The food hall will serve as a central hub, linking shopping, arrivals and departures, the train station, The Circle, and adjacent car parks with five separate entrances and exits ensuring seamless accessibility. TREATS is a key element of the broader renovations of the landside passenger areas (ELP), which aim to enhance passenger flow, create more attractive retail spaces, and improve overall logistics and traffic management for the over 100,000 daily users of the airport’s public areas.

Restaurateurs interested in being part of TREATS can now apply, as the application phase has started. With the new infrastructure and high-standard equipment, the investment required remains manageable, offering even smaller providers a chance to join this exciting venture. The food collective ag, with its track record in delivering memorable culinary experiences through projects like ‘Freiruum’ in Zug, is set to bring its expertise to TREATS, further enriching the Zurich Airport experience.

The entire project, including the redesign of the airport’s shopping areas and the construction of TREATS, represents an investment of approximately CHF 250 million by Flughafen Zürich AG.
