With over 22 years of HR leadership experience across diverse industries such as hospitality, banking, fintech, music, and engineering, she brings a wealth of expertise in HR transformation, organizational redesign, and digital transformation. Previously serving as Group HR Director at Jardine Schindler and Livi Bank, and holding significant roles at Sony Music Group, Starwood Academy Asia Pacific, Secoo Group, Wyndham Hotel Group, and United Overseas Bank (Malaysia), ShaoWei is well-equipped to drive cultural excellence and innovation within Mandarin Oriental. Concurrently, Amanda Hyndman will now focus exclusively on her role as COO. ShaoWei brings with her more than 22 years of leadership experience in human resources, having built her expertise across a wide range of sectors including hospitality, banking, fintech, music, and engineering. Her extensive background encompasses HR transformation, organizational redesign, culture building, leadership development, and digital transformation—all of which align perfectly with Mandarin Oriental’s vision to create outstanding experiences for both colleagues and guests.
Prior to joining Mandarin Oriental from Jardines, ShaoWei held the position of Group Human Resources Director at both Jardine Schindler and Livi Bank. She also served as Vice President of HR for Sony Music Group across Asia and the Middle East and led the Starwood Academy Asia Pacific in Shanghai, where she played a key role in nurturing the next generation of hospitality leaders. Her career further includes senior leadership roles at Secoo Group, Wyndham Hotel Group in Asia, and United Overseas Bank (Malaysia).
