(PRESS RELEASE) BANGKOK 2025-May-28 — /Travel PR News/ — Thailand is proud to announce the launch of the “Amazing Thailand Love Wins Festival (Pride Month)” in celebration of Global Pride Month this June. This nationwide festival reaffirms the country’s commitment to equality, human rights, and inclusion, solidifying Thailand’s position as a leading global Pride destination.

The festival’s official launch ceremony was presided over by Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, who emphasized that this celebration is a reflection of Thailand’s core values. “Thailand stands firmly for human rights, gender equality, and the freedom to love,” said Mr. Wechayachai. “With marriage equality now the law, we proudly reaffirm our commitment to inclusion and equality, sending a clear message that everyone is welcome here.”

Mr. Sorawong Thienthong, Minister of Tourism and Sports, further emphasized the importance of the event: “Global Pride Month is a time to celebrate identity, dignity, and love. The Amazing Thailand Love Wins Festival reflects these values, while also driving tourism and reinforcing Thailand’s image as a welcoming and inclusive destination for people from all walks of life.”

As part of the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025, the festival celebrates the LGBTQIAN+ communities around the world, highlighting Thailand’s ongoing efforts to become a global leader in Pride celebrations. With marriage equality now officially recognized in Thailand, the country has made a historic leap toward full equality, further enhancing its appeal as a destination that champions freedom and diversity.

On 23 January 2025, Thailand officially enacted marriage equality legislation, allowing LGBTQIAN+ couples to legally register their marriages. This momentous step follows the approval of changes to the Civil and Commercial Code and signifies Thailand’s dedication to advancing fundamental rights for all.

Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), added: “The Amazing Thailand Love Wins Festival is a vibrant reflection of our society. We stand for love without labels, equality without exception, and diversity without compromise. Through this celebration, we showcase to the world that Thailand is not only open for tourism, but also open-hearted.”

The festival, which runs throughout June, will see vibrant celebrations across Thailand, with events in all regions of the country. The festival is expected to stimulate economic activity by supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs, while promoting social harmony and a deeper understanding of gender diversity.
