Deutsche Hospitality’s luxury brand wins both a Service Champion 2020 Award and a 2020 Brand of the Year Award
Frankfurt am Main, Germany, 2020-Nov-18 — /Travel PR News/ — Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts has come out on top twice by once again winning a “Service Champion 2020” Award and a “Brand of the Year 2020” Award. “Service-Champions” focuses on perceived levels of customer service and is Germany’s most extensive ranking system of this type. In a wide-ranging survey, Steigenberger fought off competition from more than 4,000 other companies to emerge with a “Service Experience Score” of 77.9 percent. This was the best result achieved. Deutsche Hospitality’s luxury brand recorded a further success in the “Brand of the Year 2020” rankings, which are based on the YouGov BrandIndex. Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts secured first place in the Hotels Category with a score of 39 points, finishing more than eight points ahead of its nearest rival.
“This 2020 Service Champion Award and our Brand of the Year 2020 title are a confirmation of the commitment we show to our guests every single day,” said Denis Hüttig, Vice President Operations Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts. “Such a double accolade represents a fantastic recognition of the performance of our staff. It also acts as an additional motivation to keep giving of our best. Outstanding service quality and perfect hospitality are two of the core elements of the Steigenberger brand. These factors play a key role in terms of guest experience, especially in such challenging times when we are all affected by the corona pandemic.”
“Service Champions” is an initiative which was launched by the analysis company ServiceValue GmbH in conjunction with the Goethe University of Frankfurt am Main and the newspaper DIE WELT. Rankings were arrived at by asking over 1.9 million customers for feedback on 4,053 companies in 384 sectors. The Service Experience Score (SES) converts customer satisfaction with the service they believe they have received into a specific numeric value. The SES is an efficient measurement instrument in this regard because it operates independently of sectors and business models and is thus able to guarantee the comparability of customer verdicts.
The “Brand of the Year” ranking system is a cooperative venture between the market research and polling institute YouGov and the business newspaper Handelsblatt. Results are based on daily online interviews which YouGov conducted between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020 within the scope of the YouGov BrandIndex. Respondents evaluated around 1,200 brands in over 9,000 interviews.
