RDU Airport, N.C., 2018-Jun-14 — /Travel PR News/ — Sun and fun in San Diego is finally a nonstop flight away. Raleigh-Durham International Airport’s most sought after nonstop destination will be served by Frontier Airlines beginning on August 15. The airline announced the route during a nationwide release of new destinations throughout their network on June 5.
“San Diego is our current top unserved nonstop destination. This is an important West Coast connection for our region with many business, leisure and military ties,” said Michael Landguth, president and CEO of the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority. “We’re excited that once again Frontier Airlines continues to invest in Raleigh-Durham International Airport and the Triangle community, bringing big comfy jets and really affordable fares for our travelers.”
The Frontier Airlines flight will operate Wednesdays and Saturdays. It will depart RDU at 10:37 a.m. and arrive in San Diego at 1:12 p.m. Pacific time. The return flight departs San Diego at 12:52 p.m. local time and arrives at RDU at 9:24 p.m.
Frontier will fly an Airbus 321 aircraft on the route. Tickets are on sale now, visit www.flyfrontier.com to book your southern California adventure.
