2013-04-30 — /travelprnews.com/ — Paradise Island Resort & Spa, Maldives is the proud host of the World Travel Awards (WTA), the most prestigious awards ceremony in the world tourism sector. This debut event would be held on the 12th of May 2013 and is definitely a first for the Maldivian Tourism Industry – first time such a prestigious event is hosted in the Maldives whilst the industry itself is celebrating its 40th year thriving and developing in ‘tourism’.
For two decades, the World Travel Awards has been recognizing companies in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry for their exciting development and recognizing the excellence of service. The glamorous event will present awards to 58 categories from which the Maldives has been nominated for 30 different categories. Winning from any of these categories will be an endorsement that will ensure that the winners of this year’s WTA spearhead in this prolific industry. The elite will get to celebrate their achievements as winning a World Travel Award has become one of the highest accolades a travel production or organization can achieve.
As the Maldives anticipates to shine in WTA, the whole of WTA experience will become more memorable with the world-class scrupulous service of Paradise Island Resort & Spa. The resort hopes for the opportunity to showcase the true Maldivian hospitality by hosting it on a sublime beach under an incredible star-studded sky. We are delighted and looking forward to welcome all the participants to this memorable event.
