2013-07-17 — /travelprnews.com/ — Airports Company South Africa, Cape Town International Airport (ACSA CTIA) has opened a new long stay parking P5. The airport constantly aims to improve its service by identifying opportunities for growth and has been constructing a new Long Stay parking which will be separate from P4 parking. Directional maps are available on our website.
In an effort to maximize the parking capacity for the airport, the layout of the Long Stay parking has been relocated to a portion of open land at the bottom of the current P4 parking. Long Stay P5 will now offer 200 parking bays. The entrance booms to the Long stay P5 area and P4 are now separate. However, the exit boom gates for P4 and P5 will remain the same. Another addition is at the P3 parking which is now offering a courtesy shuttle service to the terminals.
“The airport has various parking areas for different needs. The long Stay parking is the most economic product for passengers leaving their vehicles for more than five days. These users are then able to park in the area at a minimal charge,” said Deborah Francis, acting Communications Manager for Cape Town International Airport.
In addition to this, Cape Town International Airport introduced a Long Stay Parking option for Special Needs Passengers (SNP) on the ground floor of Parkade P1. This is to ensure that a long stay parking option is also available to our SNP and that it is closer to the terminal for ease of access for the users. Should you wish to access this service, kindly contact Katanga Parking Management on 021 935 5700 or ACSA’s Landside Hotline 021 935 3737. A prepaid access card will be issued and users just have to upload money on the card. Parking rates will be calculated as the same rates of the general Long Stay Parking in P5.
The new parking solutions are based on airport user feedback and we always make a point of implementing airport users’ suggestions in order to ensure that our airport visitors receive a world class service. Continue to provide us with your feedback. Updated directional maps and parking rates are available on our Cape Town Airport webpage. Visit www.airports.co.za.
