Jersey Heritage invites young Islanders at its Big Draw family event at Jersey Museum & Art Gallery 28 October- 1 November

Jersey, 2013-10-25 — /travelprnews.com/ — Jersey Heritage is inviting young Islanders to take part in a variety of futuristic arts, crafts and family activities this half term, at its Big Draw family event at Jersey Museum & Art Gallery from Monday 28 October to Friday 1 November 10am – 4pm.

Big Draw | Jersey Museum & Art Gallery
Monday 28 October – Friday 1 November | 10am – 4pm
This half-term, Jersey Heritage is inviting children to see into the future as they get stuck in with exciting, futuristic arts & craft activities at Jersey Museum & Art Gallery.  Can you imagine what Jersey will be like in the future? Predict what food, art, technology, clothes, cars, playgrounds and building will look like in years to come.  We will take inspiration from the historic artifacts and collections on display at Jersey Museum, to design our very own inventions of the future. We will use unusual tools to create futuristic arts, contemplate which artifacts will be collected in years to come and decide what you would collect if you had a museum of the future – the sky is the limit!

Family Events Co-ordinator, Helen Otterwell said “Jersey Heritage hosts a special half term family event for our members and the public to enjoy, every year. This week of educational, futuristic and fun activities offers islanders a chance to go back to the future and get creative, whatever the weather! We will be drawing from the past to find future inspiration; in particular we will be visiting the All Change Victorian Exhibition currently on display at Jersey Museum, sponsored by Le Gallais. This is a fantastic opportunity for families to be entertained as they learn and we look forward to seeing them there!’

Jersey Heritage members go free, non-members admission £8.40 adults, £7.40 seniors, £5.25 6-16 and £24.55 family ticket (2 adults and 2 children); Membership available from as little as 85p a month*.
