LUTON, UK, 2017-Nov-20 — /Travel PR News/ — easyJet, Europe’s leading airline, has today announced that Loganair flights are now on sale at easyJet.com as part of its ‘Worldwide by easyJet’ product, which launched in September.
‘Worldwide by easyJet’ is the first global airline connections service by a European low fares airline, which also offers stand-alone flights from partner airlines with complementary networks.
Booking Loganair flights via the easyJet website will enable easyJet passengers to easily book onward flights – e.g. from Glasgow and Edinburgh with Loganair to Scotland’s Highlands and Islands, including the Glasgow – Barra link, the world’s only scheduled service to a beach airport. ‘Worldwide by easyJet’ provides partner airlines with access to one of the biggest travel websites in Europe.
Andrew Middleton, Ancillary Revenue Director for easyJet, commented:
”We’re delighted that as of today, the 360 million annual visitors to easyJet.com can now discover more destinations across Scotland through our latest ‘Worldwide by easyJet’ partner, Loganair.”
Jonathan Hinkles, Managing Director of Loganair commented:
“We believe this exciting partnership with easyJet will open up the beautiful Highlands and Islands to a whole new audience and Loganair is looking forward to welcoming them on board.”
Minister for Transport and the Islands Humza Yousaf said:
“This is excellent news for the communities served by Loganair, improving connectivity and making it even easier to access easyJet’s network of onward destinations.
“Enabling more convenient connections to and from Scotland, and the Highlands and Islands in particular, will benefit both businesses and tourists looking to experience our world famous hospitality.
“I wish both airlines every success with this new venture.”
The launch in September was a first step and easyJet will now continue to sign up and integrate other airlines with the ‘Worldwide by easyJet’ product.
easyJet has leadership positions at more of Europe’s major airports, flying on more of Europe’s 100 largest routes than any other airline – making it the most attractive European short haul airline for network connectivity.

About easyJet
easyJet is Europe’s leading airline offering a unique and winning combination of the best route network connecting Europe’s primary airports, with great value fares and friendly service.
easyJet flies on more of Europe’s most popular routes than any other airline. easyJet carries over 78 million passengers annually, of which more than 12 million are travelling on business. easyJet flies over 279 aircraft on more than 880 routes to over 140 airports across 31 countries. More than 300 million Europeans live within one hour’s drive of an easyJet airport.
easyJet aims to be a good corporate citizen, employing people on local contracts in seven countries across Europe in full compliance with national laws and recognising their trade unions. The airline supports a number of local charities and also has a corporate partnership with UNICEF which has raised over £10m for the most vulnerable children since it was established in 2012.
The airline takes sustainability seriously. easyJet invests in the latest technology, operates efficiently and fills most of its seats which means that an easyJet passenger’s carbon footprint is 22% less than a passenger on a traditional airline, flying the same aircraft on the same route.
Innovation is in easyJet’s DNA – from our launch over 20 years ago when we changed the way people fly to the present day where we lead the industry in digital, web, engineering and operational innovations to make travel more easy and affordable for our passengers.
