CHICAGO, IL, 2019-Jul-22 — /Travel PR News/ — On Monday, July 22, the Chicago Department of Aviation, United Airlines, HMSHost, Alderman Matt O’Shea (19th Ward) and Versiti Blood Center of Illinois will host a summer blood drive at O’Hare International Airport.
Stop by the donation stations in Terminal 2, lower level baggage claim area between 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
According to Versiti, summer often brings a greater number of emergencies and traumas than at other times of the year, which makes the need for all blood types and the universal type O negative even more critical. The Center also notes that donations dip by as much as 20 percent during the summer months, when the need for blood is at its highest.
Interested donors who are not badged employees with the CDA, United Airlines or HMSHost should schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-7TO-GIVE (1-800-786-4483) or by visiting versiti.org/Illinois.
Everyone who donates will receive a Versiti Blood Center of Illinois long-sleeve t-shirt in appreciation for their participation.
